EAST & SOUTH DES MOINES CHAMBERS host local bus tour

Tour Showcases Business Development in the East and South Neighborhoods

The East & South Des Moines Chambers of Commerce are hosting a chartered bus tour on Friday, April 20th, 2012, showcasing the progression of East & South Des Moines businesses. The tour will begin at 3:30pm at the Market Building in East Village (118 SE 4th St., Des Moines). Guests will be chartered to various locations including: Grand View University, Kemin Industries, Blank Park Zoo, Christ the King Senior Housing, Rebuilding Together, Valley View Village, Market Building, East Grand Shop\'s/SE 6th development, Southridge Mall, Trixies, Bennigan\'s, Broadlawns, Iowa State Fairgrounds and more!

Each location will offer insight into their developmental successes and planned economic ventures. Guests will receive a route map which will include explanations of several completed and ongoing projects in the area.

The tour loops back to the Market Building at 5:00pm ending with a networking reception. There is no cost to ride the bus, as businesses that are being featured are sponsoring the event. Space is limited. RSVP to
